James Welling: Color & Light

  For color and light, I'll be talking about James Welling's work. Looking through his work, his photography overall seems like a piece of art in a canvas. As I looked through color and light photographers, James Welling seems the most compelling since it is different from other photographers work. The picture above is called 1598 in which illustrates many aspects of art such as dance and art. The photo above truly represents these aspects of art and dance correlating with each other to create one piece of work. The colors represented are very unique, a very different use of colors through the art. The colors overall stand out, compare to the black and white portions, the color in it is the most compelling. It speaks color when looking at this work. Alll I can say is that James Welling's work doesn't seem like photography, but it truly is. Toshio Shibata

  As the picture above is a picture of a bridge on the Okawa Village in Japan. The picture was taken by the Japanese photographer Toshio Shibata, a photographer that focuses on landscapes and the architecture made by humans. All of Tobio Shibata's photos illustrate a beautiful scenery of what human architecture truly is, showing a beautiful aspect of bridges, dams, and roads. I'm going to be writing about Tobio Shibata's work and the influence that he has done that inspired me. The picture above, like I said, is a bridge near the Okawa Village in Japan. The photo overall is beautiful because it gives a different perspective of architecture and the bridge. This photo presents good composition, with great lighting that makes the color red stand out and the angle being perfect for showing off the lines.
