Marvin Heiferman Photography Changes Everything

Heiferman explains the many aspects of photography from capturing a memory to expressing a piece of art and meaning. Photography overall can be defined as something more than a picture, is a sort of art that can be expressed in many ways. Saying that photography has a singular meaning puts aside the broader meaning of what photography means, it is often seen as something more than a picture for others.

I believe that photography does more than just show something, in a way is more to get people to look at and think what the meaning is behind a picture. Even if a photograph can be a simple picture of a car; there is always someone that looks thoroughly at what the picture is trying to show. Rather than expressing something beautiful, it shows something more than expressing a simple picture, which is why photography is broader than just showing expression.

Heiferman says that the meaning of photography is harder to pinpoint because it influences those in many different ways. Even as time passed by, where photography is applied to everyone, it applies more than art; a picture can capture more than that. What Heiferman means is that photography does more than showing things, it gets us to do more than just see like is a source of one's meaning and expression. This is why photography is more than just art because it can impact many in an emotional matter or it helps us think thoroughly of what's being capture and shown to us. Again photography is everywhere, it is seen in billboards, textbooks, or on tv; photographs are everywhere for a reason because it gets us hooked and excited about what it provides.
